I became an Ustaz first. Both my parents are religious teachers. Faith wasn't something I found, it was the house I grew up in. But so was a PC. My father used it to write exam papers. I used it to install pirated games until it crashed. By the time I left for Al-Azhar in Cairo, I already knew my way around a machine.

In Egypt, the two tracks never separated. I was studying Islamic jurisprudence by day, and fixing friends' PCs, rigging a spare router as a Wi-Fi extender, teaching video editing, and running the Perkemas website on my own time. Nobody asked me to. I just couldn't stop learning how things worked.

A second degree in Computer Security gave formal structure to what I'd already been doing for years. Al-Azhar shaped how I think about trust, accountability, and the weight of responsibility. Tech gave me the systems to practise them in. Both worlds run on the same currency: trust.
